While some of the Supreme justices will today ponder the merits of Leo Donofrio’s case against Barack Obama and his eligibility to hold (when you come right down to it) any elected office in the United States, let alone President, it’s the tug of war aspect that fascinates this writer.
Most on the left label this a racist smear, which is their standard operating procedure.
Your arguments are baseless. How in the world would a sane person think that a candidate to the United States presidency will provide a counterfeit document and will not be found guilty of fraud. Have you listen or give thought to what you are saying? You are just following the lead of a sick person who has it against Obama. Obama understands that and he has no time to deal with nonsense. You will see after the sue comes to fruition and he has the real certificate on his hand, he will try to look for something else. It is called obsession. He is angry that Americans are giving a chance to a black man with roots in Kenia. It is the bottom line.
They claim Obama’s citizenship in a non sequitur, simply because they say so, even though they did put a little bit of time questioning John McCain’s.
While trying to brush the questions about Barack Obama under the rug, the left does seem to understand the rules when they want to, and have known them for some time.
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and his advisers are doing their best to brush aside questions — raised in the liberal blogosphere — about whether he is qualified under the Constitution to be president. But many legal scholars and government lawyers say it’s a serious question with no clear answer.
The problem arises from a phrase in the Constitution setting out who is eligible to be president. Article II, which also specifies that a person must be at least 35 years old, says “No person except a natural born Citizen” can be president.
Those who genuinely seek the rules to be followed have been, and continue to be, ridiculed by some in the mainstream media.
Anti-Obama Fringe to Descend Upon Supreme Court
December 04, 2008The justices of the U.S. Supreme Court will discuss whether or not it should take up the case of Leo C. Donofrio, Applicant, v. Nina Mitchell Wells, New Jersey Secretary of State, a case that challenges the citizenship of President-elect Obama.
After the Justices meet — and assuredly decline to hear the matter — the anti-Obama activists supporting the case will hold a vigil near the steps of the highest Court in the land.
The ABC News piece conveniently reminds the readers that part of that “fringe” includes “eccentric conservative Alan Keyes”, yet omits the fact that another player “Pennsylvania attorney Philip J. Berg (who also has interesting theories about how President Bush played a role in the 9/11 terrorist attacks)” is a lifelong Democrat.
Many have asked why the mainstream media is poo-pooing this controversy. Quite simple, if you really give it some thought.
Obama supporters have anointed themselves the smartest people on the planet. For this whole Obama birth certificate thing to be true would mean the left would have to admit to being duped, and then ignorant participants in a cover-up. In other words, they would have to admit they were wrong, and most would thrown themselves off a building before doing so.
The media, mostly Obama supporters, clouded their judgment early on by their biased reporting of the primaries through the presidential campaign. IF they were objective, they would have locked on to this early on as they did with McCain. But because they balked at the story and were subsequently scooped by the blogs, their credibility is now hanging in the balance.
Believe it or not, they DO understand the rules.
Well, this just in from Washington and the mouth of the Cabinet secretary charged with enforcing federal immigration laws. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff was responding Wednesday to a question from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy about McCain’s citizenship status.
“We’ve had some question on this committee to have a special law passed,” said Leahy, who actually supports Democrat Sen. Barack Obama, “declaring that Senator McCain was born in the Panama Canal, that he meets the constitutional requirement to be president.
“I fully believe he does,” Leahy continued. “I’ve never had any question in my mind that he meets our constitutional requirement.”
Case closed, it seems.
IF Barack Obama’s pending presidency is in any way slowed because of this, millions of Americans will demand to know why the news networks, papers, and elected officials didn’t warm them early on. With that, it’s in the best interest of all involved that this story (and its participants) be discredited and go away.
Boy, this is just the story that won’t die. As I’ve noted before, the story about Barack Obama’s supposedly-fake Hawaii birth certificate have been circulating on the Internet since the primaries. As today’s Page A-1 story demonstrates, there’s no credible evidence to suggest the document is phony. Reporters from FactCheck.org have examined the document and posted photos proving it has the raised seal critics claim is missing. The State of Hawaii has also authenticated it. There was a contemporaneous birth announcement in a Hawaii newspaper.
No, the State of Hawaii acknowledged they saw a birth certificate. They just didn’t elaborate for us anal retentive-types where the birth certificate was issued.
Associated Press reported about a statement of Hawaii Health Department Director Dr. Fukino, “State declares Obama birth certificate genuine.”
That October 31, 2008 statement says that Dr. Fukino “ha[s] personally seen and verified that the Hawai’i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.” That statement does not, however, verify that Obama was born in Hawaii, and as explained above, under Hawaiian policies and procedures it is quite possible that Hawaii may have a birth record of a person not born in Hawaii. Unlikely, but possible.
By the way, as for that Associated Press link….
We’re sorry.
The article you’ve requested is no longer available.
One would think they would’ve held on to this one a little while longer…?
But it appears the left is a little bit antsy about this.
So, the rumor still proliferates. The Supreme Court is contemplating one lawsuit about it. (That absolutely doesn’t mean they’ll agree to hear the case, though it would be interesting if they did.)
Yet I heard from several supporters of President-elect Obama who thought The Star shouldn’t have run the story at all. One called it the “height of irresponsibility” and demanded an apology.
“Shouldn’t have run the story at all.” How typical.
Despite the partisan interests, there are some clear facts to consider, as this would not be considered “case closed” by the left if this were the other way around. During the Clinton scandal years, we were all demanded to consider the logic: in order for Bill Clinton to be telling the truth, everyone else would have to be lying.
In this case, are all the hospitals in Hawaii lying?
All of these were called or visited from November 20 - December 2nd 2008. It is confirmed, OBAMA not born in any hospital in Honolulu County! NONE FACT!
Hospital employees bribed, some gave info for free. All to be released on video shortly.Hospitals you can check yourself
- The Queen’s Medical Center - Honolulu, Hawaii Obama claims as his birth hospital
- Kapi’ olani Medical Center Obama’s sister claims Barack Obama born here
- Honolulu Shriners Hospital Never a patient Mom or Obama
- Straub Clinic & Hospital Never a patient Mom or Obama
- Hawaii Health Systems Corporation - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
- Cancer Institute of Maui - Wailuku, Hawaii No Comment ???

- Tripler Medical Center - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
- Wahiawa General Hospital - Wahiawa, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama

You can look at every hospital here and call or visit any of them. You can file freedom of information acts, you can do everything and anything you wish. Barack Obama was never born in a hospital in Hawaii as claimed.
As someone who bred in Japan while serving, I know the difference between a Certificate of Live Birth (real or not) and a birth certificate. In fact, while later trying to enroll one of my sons in a Los Angeles public kindergarten, we had to dig and find a missplaced copy of his birth certificate because the L.A. Unified School District wouldn’t accept a COLB. One would think if you need to present a certified (stamped) birth certificate to get a kid into a public school, you’d need to be able to provide one to be president.
And as presenting a certified birth certificate would’ve made many of the “fringe” look like idiots long ago, why is the left passing up this opportunity and relying purely on “Because we say so”?
We’ll see what happens with The Supremes today.

“We’ll see what happens with The Supremes today.”
Yes, we sure will:
