Very eloquently stated. I am afraid that President-elect Obama's views are shared by the majority of Democrats so I don't expect government policies on affirmative action and entitlements to change any time soon. I have also read that many African-Americans are against affirmative action as it is in essence saying that African-Americans cannot compete for jobs unless they are giving special treatment. In the past there was justification for affirmative action but there has to come a time when affirmative action is tossed on the trash heap of outdated and unnecessary policies.
