Put Sessions on the list, of those who should never be re-elected, nor elected to any other office.

Jeff Sessions is the BEST Senator in the world that I know of and I voted for him and will do it again! I find it encouraging that SOMEONE in Washington is FINALLY willing to acknowledge the Obama BC issue and is keeping track of what is going on. Jeff Sessions is a man of honor and integrity and willing to stand up for his constituants and what he believes to be right. I am PROUD and Thank God that Senator Jeff Sessions represents me and my fellow Alabamians!

While the senator acknowleges the issue, he skillfully opts out. He knows SCOTUS would take notice and listen if even a few legislators showed concern for what is happening. His letter makes him just another sheeple… afraid of the repercussions… and unwillinging to stand up for what he believes one way or another.

Senate Ethics Rules

From Chapter 6 Page 178 - “The general advice of the Ethics Committee concerning pending court actions is that Senate
offices should refrain from intervening in such legal actions (unless the office becomes a party to the suit, or seeks leave of court to intervene as amicus curiae) until the matter has reached a resolution in the courts. The principle behind such advice is that the judicial system is the appropriate forum for the resolution of legal disputes and, therefore, the system should be allowed to function without interference from outside sources.”

While it is easy to rush to judgement and dismiss anothers actions as being less than honorable or a copout because it does not produce the desired result we wish, please consider this:

Our country is both moral, ethical and a representative republic founded on the Constitution and governed by the rule of law. No one has the right to take that law into their own hands and infringe on anyone else’s right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

While it is tempting to act as tho we live in a democracy (mob rule by definition), we must restrain ourselves! The people who want to destroy our country WANT us to believe we have a democratic right of majority to take the law into our own hands and force our will on others. They have been indoctrinating us since grade school (at least since the 60’s) to believe we live in a great democracy - A BIG LIE!

As proof, I offer the Pledge Of Allegience: … and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands… NOT a democracy for which we stand!

That being said, how many of you have taken the time to write to your representatives - Senators and Congress people - and of those that did, how many of those representatives actually took the time to respond back to you? IN WRITING!

I chose to share this letter from the Honorable Jeff Sessions to bring us all ENCOURAGEMENT that there IS actually SOMEONE in Washington who is concerned for the people they represent and is actually paying attention to the issues! I am reassured and confident that Senator Sessions is doing everything both ethically and responsibly that he can to honor his pledge to protect and defend the Constitution AND fully represent all of the citizens of Alabama as well as the United States.

How does making an objection in the Senate or House constitute intervening in legal actions? These are two separate venues, two separate “actions:” one is counting and certifying the Electoral College votes, the other is the law suits. A Senator or Congressman is not referring to any lawsuit, pending or otherwise; they are making an objection which they are entitled to do under the constitution. He is NOT contacting the court in any way, which would be “intervening.”

My attitude is not so generous as JohnInAlabama; to me it appears that Sen. Sessions is taking an easy way out. Given that these are hard people we’re dealing with, not above threats and possibly bodily harm or murder, one can understand reluctance to oppose them. But someone must show courage, or evil will win.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer
