The mission of the Federal Election Commission is to prevent corruption in
the federal campaign process by administering, enforcing, and formulating
policy with respect to campaign finance statutes.  I believe this mission
is vital to ensuring that Americans can put their trust in the credibility
and accountability of our election system.
